Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) is a medicinal deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent, primarily grown in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It reaches up to 30 meters in height with smooth, grey bark and elliptical dark green leaves. Production involves seed collection, germination, transplanting, fertilization, pruning, and harvesting after 10-15 years. Bark is carefully removed, dried, and stored. Major suppliers include states in India and districts in Sri Lanka. Wild collection is regulated for sustainability.
