The major active components of flaxseed are linolenic acid, linoleic acid, lignans, cyclic peptides, polysaccharides, alkaloids, cyanogenic glycosides, ferulic acid and p-Coumaric acid. These seeds are having good nutritional value. These seeds are a good source of fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals like thiamine, phosphorus, magnesium, molybdenum, copper. Intake of these seeds is good for the heart and gut health.
