Product Use |
Lipase is an enzyme that is produced naturally by the human body, animals and some microorganisms. However, for commercial use, lipase is mostly obtained from microbial sources such as bacteria and fungi. The enzyme can also be produced using biotechnological processes, where specific microorganisms are cultured in controlled environments to produce large quantities of lipase.
Some commonly used microorganisms for commercial lipase production include Aspergillus niger, Geotrichum candidum, and Candida rugosa. These microorganisms are able to produce large quantities of lipase and are often genetically modified to enhance their lipase production capacity.
