Also known as the drumstick tree or horseradish tree belongs to the family of Moringaceae. It is native to India. Polyphenol, flavonoids, and phenolic acids are the major active components of moringa leaves. These leaves are a good source of potent antioxidants like beta-carotene, myrecytin, quercetin, and kaempferol that help in stabilizing the free radicles. These leaves are very nutritious and have therapeutic properties. These leaves are rich in vitamin A, folic acid, pyridoxine, nicotinic acid, vitamin C, D, and E and also rich in magnesium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, and zinc. Intake of these leaves is good for the heart, blood circulation, skin, hair, nervous system, liver, and gut health.
