Product Use

Production & Sourcing

Chickweed is a common flowering plant found in temperate regions worldwide, often regarded as a beneficial herb with culinary and medicinal uses. Production typically involves the cultivation of chickweed in gardens, fields, or wild habitats where it thrives in moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. This resilient plant grows prolifically and is often considered a weed in some contexts. Harvesting usually occurs when chickweed plants are in their prime growth stage, typically in the spring or early summer. The aerial parts of the plant, including the leaves, stems, and flowers, are hand-harvested and carefully collected. After harvesting, chickweed is cleaned to remove any dirt or debris and then dried using methods such as air drying or low-temperature dehydration to preserve its beneficial properties.
