Also known as the king of the mushrooms and the mushroom of immortality that belongs to the family Ganodermataceae. Red-varnished, kidney-shaped cap in appearance that gro on plants stem.
Major active components of the reishi mushroom are ergosterols, coumarin, mannitol, alkaloids polysaccharides, mannitol lactones, organic germanium, adenosine, amino acids, ganoderic acids. It is also a good source of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. So it has a good nutritional value and is well known for its medicinal properties. Intake of reishi mushroom is good for the immune system, gut, liver, for brain health.
