Also known as Magnolia berry, Magnolia-vine, Chinese magnolia vine, Schisandra, or Five-flavor fruit, that belongs to the family of Schisandraceae. It is widely cultivated in Korea, China, and Japan. It contains many phytochemicals are dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans, lignans (4-aryltetralin, aryltetralone, tetrahydrofuran and butane-type lignans) and triterpenoids. It is good for stomach, respiratory and intestinal health.
