Turmeric is found in orangish-yellow and yellowish powder. Turmeric is used as an important species ingredient in Asian kitchens for flavoring. Its major bioactive constituent is curcuminoids named curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin. The yellowish color of Turmeric comes from curcumin. Turmeric is a good source of antioxidants.

Turmeric, also known as "Indian saffron," is a bright orange-yellow spice widely used in cooking, traditional rituals, and various applications. It is obtained from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which belongs to the ginger family and is native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Turmeric has been used in India and China for thousands of years, and its use has spread to other parts of the world in recent centuries.After harvesting, the turmeric roots undergo thorough washing and cleaning to remove soil and impurities. Following the cleaning process, the roots are boiled briefly to enhance their color and flavor. They are then dried using methods such as air-drying or low-temperature dehydration to preserve their integrity and natural compounds. Once dried, the turmeric roots are finely ground into a vibrant orange-yellow powder. This powdered turmeric is then packaged in airtight containers to prevent moisture absorption and maintain freshness, ensuring that it retains its quality and rich flavor from production to application.

To prevent and control biological hazards, we ensure that microbial parameters in our products comply with microbial limits as specified by the USP. We generally test Total Plate Count (TPC), Yeast and mold, E. coli and Salmonella in this product.

We provide Turmeric powder, FD with a moisture content of NMT 5%. The moisture content of the product facilitates the growth of microorganisms in the product, which in turn increases the risk of biological hazards. Moisture content NMT 5% in our product ensures better control of microbial growth and, in turn, increased shelf life.

We test total heavy metals, lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium in our products. These heavy metals by numerous studies are purported to be toxic for human consumption beyond certain limits and are known carcinogens. We also ensure that our product complies with California prop 65 regulations for lead content below 0.5 ppm levels.

It is a freshly source form of vegetable, so it is more nutrients than its dried, processed and powdered.

Yes, we have tested for Staphylococcus aureus in Turmeric powder, FD and it is absent in this product.

Yes, as per client’s requirement we can provide spray dried Turmeric powder.
