This extract is produced by concentrating the bioactive compounds found in Chaga mushrooms to a ratio of 10:1, meaning that ten parts of the raw mushroom are used to produce one part of the extract. Chaga mushroom known for its beneficial properties, is primarily found on birch trees in cold climates such as those in Siberia, Northern Europe, Canada, and Alaska. The production process begins with the careful foraging of wild Chaga mushrooms, which involves sustainably harvesting the fungus from the trees without damaging the host tree. Harvesting usually takes place in winter or early spring when the mushrooms are at their peak potency. The Chaga is carefully cut from the tree bark, cleaned to remove any dirt or impurities, and then dried using low-temperature methods to preserve its beneficial compounds.
