The presence of fructooligosaccharides indicates that onions might have prebiotic properties. Onions also contain vitamins such as vitamin B6, folate, biotin, and vitamin C, along with minerals like potassium, calcium, and iron. Additionally, onions are recognized for their content of antioxidants.
