The major active components are fiber, polysaccharides, para-aminobenzoic acid, sterol, beta carotene, proteins, peptides, lutein, and zeaxanthin. It is a good source of vitamins A, B1, B6, folate, and C, E, and minerals like copper, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, and manganese. It is rich in antioxidants that neutralize free radicles and protects the cells from damage.
