          Product Description

          Botanical name: Ulmus rubra
          Plant Part Used: Bark
          Processing Method: Drying, Grinding

Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder is derived from the inner bark of Ulmus rubra, a tree native to North America and part of the Ulmaceae family. The bark is carefully harvested, dried, and finely ground to preserve its natural mucilage content, which gives it a soothing, gel-like consistency when mixed with water. Rich in fiber and beneficial compounds, this powder is commonly used in herbal formulations, teas, and dietary supplements. Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder is valued for supporting digestive health and soothing the throat, making it a versatile ingredient in wellness products.

          Production & Sourcing

Slippery Elm, derived from the inner bark of Ulmus rubra trees in eastern North America, is harvested in spring when trees are in full bloom. After harvesting, the bark is dried and powdered for various applications. However, due to over-harvesting, Slippery Elm is now predominantly sourced from sustainable farms in the United States and Canada to ensure its availability for future use.
