Description
Gokhru consists of dried fruits, contains not less than 0.5% of diosgenin, as calculated on the dried basis. Fruits are pedicellate and globose, having wedge shaped cocci, covered with short and stiff spines, having faintly aromatic smell and taste is acrid [2].
