Also known as curly dock, or curled dock, which belongs to the family of Polygonaceae. It is commonly found in the United States, Cannada, and some parts of Australia. Yellow dock root contains catechol, anthraquinones, physcion, chrysophanol, emodin, nepodin, vitamin A & C, rhein, rutin, flavone glycosides, chlorophyll, phytoestrogens, and some organic acids like tartaric, citric, tannic, oxalic, malic. Yellow Dock is highly rich source of antioxidants.
